After first having a guitar 20+ years ago and subsequently getting rid because I could not play it straight away like a god, I still had the itch to play (and now actually learn!!).

After doing some research I finally picked the phone up to David Rollins (well I e-mailed first to tell the truth!) and I could not be much more happy.

David is clear with his tuition and sets the pace to suit the individual. David also tailors lessons to the style/taste of music that interests the student to help keep things moving along, which for me is great because I really did not want to learn "twinkle twinkle little star"!

I have only been several times but I feel very happy & relaxed with David as a tutor and I feel like I am starting to scratch the service of learning to play guitar (finally!)

As one of David's students, I think he is a inspirational teacher and he has helped me a lot to get to the standard i am at now. He is comforting and makes you relax in his classes. He has a good sense of humour and knows what he is talking about. He gives you the encouragement to work hard and he always get good results. I have known him for a couple of years now and I think that he is a great guitar player to look up to. I reccommend him to anyone wanting to learn the guitar.

Since taking lessons from David I have learnt not only techniques to improve my playing but also basic theory which has given me a greater understanding and appreciation of the music I listen to. David's easy manner and straight forward method provide me something I can take away from each lesson and apply straight away.

As a vocalist in a part-time band, I've always wanted to play guitar as well and after just four lessons with David, I am already playing passable versions of a whole host of rock classics.
David puts you at ease from the first time you meet him and he listens to your own hopes and aspirations and structures the lessons with that in mind. He has been very patient with my shortcomings and instinctively knows what direction to take you in. Listening to his own mesmeric guitar playing is simply inspirational.

I am a teacher of some 33 years by profession and certainly rate myself as a good judge of other teachers. I can unreservedly recommend David to would-be guitarists of all ages, young and old, and I am very confident they would gain as much as I already have in his company. He has completely surpassed my expectations and he knows I'm now in for the long haul.

I had my first ever guitar lesson with David this morning and I am still smiling now! his knowledge and love of guitar playing is evident, he put me at ease straight away and stripped away any fear that a beginner like myself has about learning to play the guitar. I can't wait for the next lesson!......PS I'm 50 years old!!
